Having thrilled crowds at Listen Out, Beyond The Valley, Secret Garden, Melbourne Music Week, The Mountain Goat Valley Crawl and more prior to the pandemic, the future-facing artist has been called a lot of things – an “icon” (AAA Backstage), “brimming [with] attitude and commanding charisma” (Purple Sneakers), “without a doubt one of the best musicians in Australia” (Futuremag Music) with support from the likes of triple j and BBC Radio 1; now, this new music teases her most spectacular era yet.
Whipping around in a heady, humid frenzy, ‘See You Later‘ is a late-night, come-hither promise, not a question. King IV’s icy vocals skate nimbly over a thick, sticky beat with serious claws as it drags you into a world of hedonism, with the artist saying: “When we follow our desires, passions and human impulses, our whole emotional world breaks loose. Sex, power, and every devil in our nature is brought to light when we become acquainted with our most mortal cravings. I wanted See You Later to offer that freeing feeling that a night of passion can create.”
