Psychedelic Porn Crumpets

Interview

Posted on: April 20th, 2022

As the countdown to the release of their fifth studio album Night Gnomes enters its final stages, Psychedelic Porn Crumpets are back to further tease their next phase of delightfully kooked magic with the release of new single, Acid Dent.

The release of ‘Acid Dent’ comes as the West Coast firebrands prepare for not only the release of their new album, but a long-awaited return to live touring; with already announced dates for North America, Europe and the UK. ‘Acid Dent’ – like singles Bubblegum InfinityDread & Butter’, ‘Bob Holiday and Lava Lamp Pisco’ before it – is a masterclass into how Psychedelic Porn Crumpets can have a kaleidoscope of influences and sonic ideas at their disposal, yet never lose sense of their core sound and identity. The new single spotlights guitars and fuzz with flair, while the rhythms buoy Jack McEwan’s hypnotic vocals seamlessly.

For the ‘Acid Dent’ music video, the band reunited with director and artist Ollie Jones – the creative genius behind the claymation music videos fans will remember from Psychedelic Porn Crumpets’ SHYGA! The Sunlight Mound era. This time around, the action takes place at ‘PPC Chemicals’, with hijinx ensuing in classic Psychedelic Porn Crumpets style.

As fans and industry followers around the world await the release of Night Gnomes (April 22nd), Psychedelic Porn Crumpets continue to rack up the acclaim off the back of their 2022 releases to date. Over 1.2 Million streams have been accumulated across ‘Bubblegum Infinity’, ‘Bob Holiday’ ‘Dread & Butter’ and ‘Lava Lamp Pisco’.

Psychedelic Porn Crumpets will be touring UK/Europe throughout August/September, and the US throughout October/November. Tickets through www.psychedelicporncrumpets.com
